Music in Nature 2013

Music on the Plaza with the Rio Grande Ramblers

The Rio Grande Ramblers will be playing at Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park adjacent to the Rio Grande River on August 18th, September 22nd and October 6th. Performances will begin at 6pm for an hour or so. The Ramblers play mostly original tunes in the folk music tradition. So pack up your folding chair, put something in the cooler and come on down to the river and join in the fun; dance, listen and sing with the Ramblers as they close the day by playing into the sunset on one or all of these three dates.

Music on the Plaza with Desert Blend

Join a sunset over the river tucked under the native plant gardens of the park as local artists Desert Blend plays us into the evening. Desert Blend is known for a blend of traditional and contemporary folk, blues, pop, bluegrass, Celtic and cowboy music. Audience members will find something they like in each performance with Lauren Michaels’ lyrical vocal quality and Mark Courtney’s wide range baritone and guitar leads. Performances are on Sunday evenings, September 15th and October 13th beginning at 6pm. So pack up you coolers, grab a chair and come down to the river for some original tunes while enjoying a western sunset.
