Hummingbirds 2012


On July 6th at 7:00 PM Jerry Goffe  presented some of his award winning images of New Mexico birds and wildlife as well as the world. Public was invited to this free event at the park. 

On July 7th Jerry  conducted a workshop on the photography of hummingbirds. This workshop was limited to 10 people due to equipment constraints. Participants brought their own cameras or at least a SD card or CF card to record their images on. Jerry provided two sets of high speed lighting and cameras. Fee for the workshop was $50 and all proceeds were dominated to the  Friends of Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park organization. Workshop began at 8:30 AM and lasted into the afternoon.


About the Artist - Jerry Goffe, CPS

Photography has been Jerry's professional career and personal passion for over 35 years. His evolution into this career began as an architectural photographer, later moving into commercial and illustrative photography. His photographs have appeared in Sunset MagazineArchitectural ForumAIA JournalMountain MailSmithsonian MagazineEl Defensor ChieftainStrad Magazine, and National Geographic, among others.

Since the mid 1980’s, Jerry has become nationally respected as a leader and expert in the technically demanding specialization of forensic photography and legal evidence documentation. Jerry now directs his passion for nature and wildlife through photography. He is a volunteer, guide, photography instructor and contributor to the Friend’s newsletter at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge and many national publications. As a Canon contract professional and a Canon Professional Services member, Jerry hones his skills using the latest camera equipment available. He creates artistic images that reveal a wide variety of birds, animals and scenic grandeur under the clear New Mexico skies, as well as throughout North and South America.
